Temecula Prep never let their opponents score on Thursday. They blew past the Desert Christian Academy Conquerors 15-0. The Patriots might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matchups by seven runs or more this season.
Nikolaz Gonzalez made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He didn’t allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. He has been consistent: he hasn’t given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter’s box, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. He has become a key player for Temecula Prep: the team is undefeated when he posts at least three RBI, but 5-8 otherwise.
Patriots
Temecula Prep was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .545. The last time their batting average was this high was back in April of 2025.
The win got Temecula Prep back to even at 8-8. As for Desert Christian Academy, they have been struggling recently as they’ve lost three of their last four contests. That’s put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Temecula Prep will challenge California Military Institute at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Desert Christian Academy, they will take on Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac Catholic School at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. The Mustangs have struggled to contain batters this season (they’ve allowed 12.13 runs per game on average), something the Conquerors will no doubt try to take advantage of.
