Girls Volleyball battled their way to #1! Their last 2  matches were against tough opponents.  They played against San Jacinto Valley Academy at home. Most recently, they played CMI away.  The players showed tenacity and poise throughout the match. The players are a strong team, congratulating and encouraging each other through all the season’s up and downs.  Stand by for the playoffs…come out and support them!

LADY PATRIOTSYOU DID IT

All the hard work, dedication, and commitment throughout this season have paid off! Today, our Lady Patriots battled through an extremely competitive League Finals against San Jacinto Valley Academy, San Jacinto Leadership Academy, Santa Rosa Academy, Nuview Bridge and came out on top, scoring a 278 bringing home our 5th consecutive South Valley League Championship! Which is an incredible accomplishment for this team and our golf program!

Before the first tee shot today, Coach Ben and I reminded everyone of one simple thing: “Don’t worry about the overall team score. Focus on competing against the players in your group, one hole at a time.”

And ladies, you did exactly that! Today’s championship was a complete TEAM EFFORT. Every player contributed, every shot mattered, and everyone played an important role in bringing home this championship. I’m extremely proud of how you all  stayed composed, trusted your game, and competed until the final hole.

SOME INDIVIDUAL HIGHLIGHTS & HONORS

Evangeline “DJ Eve” Martinez — 48 | T-1st Place | LEAGUE FINALS MVP

A very special CONGRATULATIONS to our School DJ and this year’s Homecoming Princess, Eve!

She delivered an outstanding performance today, shooting a 48, tying for first place overall and earning her first League Finals MVP Award! This is a tremendous accomplishment and a well-deserved recognition of her hard work and dedication this season!

Amaya Vosberg — 49 | 3rd Place FIRST TEAM ALL-LEAGUE

Another strong performance from Amaya, who continues to demonstrate consistency and leadership on the golf course. Her 49 earned her third place overall and helped put our team in position to win the championship!

Ahlana Ramirez — 51 | T-4th Place FIRST TEAM ALL-LEAGUE

Our senior stepped up when it mattered most! After finishing tied for fourth, Ahlana competed in a sudden-death OVERTIME, on 10th hole against a  SJVA player for an individual CIF qualifying position. With the pressure on, Ahlana finished the playoff hole in 5 strokes to her opponent’s 8, securing her second appearance in the CIF Southern Section Individual Playoffs!

Makena Owens — 62 | 11th Place | SECOND TEAM ALL-LEAGUE

HUGE Congratulations to Makena on another strong performance! Her 11th-place finish earned her Second Team All-League Honors! Which is a great accomplishment that reflects the progress she has made throughout the season.

Serina Rizvi — 68
Maryam Ramatula — 69

A special congratulations to Serina and Maryam for earning their spots in this year’s South Valley League Finals!

Both ladies have worked hard throughout the season, continued to improve their games, and earned the opportunity to represent our program on one of the biggest stages of the year.

So what is NEXT…

This championship also means our season is far from over! Since Eve, Amaya, and Ahlana finished in the Top 4 they will represent Temecula Prep in the CIF Southern Section Individual Playoffs in early November in Victorville, Ca.

And since we are the South Valley League Champions, our team has also earned the opportunity to compete in the CIF Southern Section Team Playoffs round, where we will continue our pursuit of a Division Championship in Corona,Ca which is also in November!

You ladies have now continued the winning tradition of this program while creating a legacy of your own. The coaching staff and I could not be more proud of each and every one of you. From our seniors who have helped lead this program to our younger players who represent its future, you have all contributed to this championship season.

So this week, we are going to enjoy this moment and celebrate what we have accomplished. There will be no additional practices this week. We will resume practice next Monday at Legends.

Please make sure you get some well-deserved rest, stay on top of your schoolwork, and see Mrs. Grant if you need any treatment or recovery.
